Sellersburg, Indiana

Fellow Citizens,
Now is our chance to be heard!
At the last Town Board meeting it was stated by Brian Meyer, President of the Town Council, that many people were in favor of building a road connecting Norman Drive and Silver Glade Trail between Forrest Estates and Silver Glade subdivisions.
The road was proposed originally as  an emergency exit.  Then the police and fire departments said they wouldn’t take their equipment through the flooded areas at U.S. 31 to get to the road anyway.  Then it was to alleviate traffic on Linnwood Ave.
The project cost:   $135,000 to $300,000.  Regardless of where you live, all Sellersburg residents would be asked to pay for this project.

In addition, Mr. Meyer vehemently disagreed with a member from the audience when it was stated that there were most likely more people against the road project than in favor of the road project and he (Meyer) should take the time to get out and talk to the people to get their thoughts on the topic.

Based on those two statements we have organized this petition.  This will allow those of us who are against the road project to be heard by Mr. Meyer.  If he will not come to us then we will take our message to him.  Please take a moment to sign our petition and we will deliver the results to the Town Council.
Just to be clear, by signing this petition you are stating that you are against using your tax dollars to build this road.
All taxpayers in the household are eligible to sign the petition.
