The board finally accepted the offer and the team is changing hands. It has been a long and draining road but we held our ground until they listened. Stay close because we need to ensure the new owners actually bring the changes we demanded.

Final supporters
An article in the Peterborough Examiner has made fans of the Peterborough Petes aware of news that an independent group of investors have offered to purchase the team. The full article can be read here: http://www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=3526928
Unfortunately, the Peterborough Petes board of directors has turned them down. The reason why is puzzling, especially with Pete's President saying himself that the team is in debt and losing money each season. See: http://www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=3521963
Fans of this team deserve to see a competitive organization year after year. Over the last 5 years the Petes have only won a single playoff game and have missed the playoffs 3 times. They have only made two second-round playoff appearances in the last 15 years.
Selling the Petes to a private group who is committed to keeping the team in Peterborough and investing in the team with a vision for the future is the best thing that could possibly happen to this organization.
Please sign this petition and share it with your friends/family via email and on Facebook/social media in hopes to convince the Petes board of directors that the fans want change. The current model is not working and we deserve better. If the board wants what is best for this team and this city we can only hope that they will do the right thing and sell. This is a no brainer decision and possibly the only thing that can help save this franchise.

The refusal from the board continues to be frustrating but I am still quietly pushing for answers behind the scenes. Watching the team struggle on the ice while the front office stays stagnant is exhausting for all of us.

The momentum behind this continues to grow even when the board refuses to acknowledge our frustrations. I am exhausted by the constant cycle of inaction from the top but seeing this level of public response keeps me from walking away.

Miss the days when the memorial centre was packed. If new management is what we need to get back on top then do it already.
The board is delusional. You have someone willing to buy this money pit and you say no? Embarrassing.

Enough is enough. Been going to games for 20 years and its just painful to watch now. Time for some fresh faces to take over.
Its wild that they turn down money when they are crying about debt. This town deserves a team that actually competes in the playoffs.

My kids dont even want to go to the games anymore because we just get blown out every time. Sell the team!
