Dear Mr. Wilpon,
It is with great displeasure
we submit to you this letter. There is no reason to reiterate the overwhelming
disappointment the fans feel with how our team is operated.
Owning a baseball team in New York City is a rare privilege. And, with that privilege comes a responsibility to invest the necessary resources into a fielding a winning product on the field.
Your actions and the team’s financial decline in recent years show that the Mets ownership is clearly no longer capable of investing in, or delivering, a proper New York product. It’s bad for the team, bad for the city, and simply bad business.
Mr. Wilpon, if you love the Mets as much as you say you do; if you care about the fans at all, then please be honest with yourself and to our beloved New York Mets. It’s time. Sell the team to someone who will provide the necessary resources to bring a winning product back to Queens.

Tired of MLB turning a blind eye to the Wilpons just because he's buddies with Selig. The owners clearly no longer put any money into improving the team yet charge some of the highest ticket prices in baseball. They operate in the biggest market in the world yet they continue to cut team salary since the Madoff fiasco, which was embarassing enough.
As a 30+ year fan, I implore that if you cannot provide the resources to your GM to add to this team when needed, in a league flush with cash, during one of the biggest hot stove seasons in recent memory, to please sell the team
If you can't put a competitive team on the field because you can't afford it, then sell & give us fan's a winning team again.
@ Richard Herman. Faxing MLB will do nothing as they have named Fred Wilpon finance committee head. This is the state of baseball and the things Mets fans have to deal with going foward. Who is going to investigate the Mets if there's any financial wrong doing. This is set up totally wrong.

It's all about real estate and not baseball with Fred and Jeff. Please sell the team to someone who cares!
