I'm sure everyone here has heard of self-harm and the effects it can have on a sufferers life as well as their family and friends. I have been a bit proactive in the fight of self-harm setting up a series of awareness websites and forums. In my latest try to bring awareness to people about self-harm/injury/mutilation, what ever you want to call it, I am petitioning 10 Downing Street to make March 1st Self-Harm Awareness Day. March the first was chosen because the American Government has itself been petitioned to make this day a Self-Harm Awareness Day (according to internet resources), we hope it becomes an international day bringing self-harm into perspective and making it less of a taboo subject.
