On Monday 10-19-09 my daughter was jumped at school by another student. My daughter & son were started to walk home when they saw the girl she was having problems with so to avoid confrontation they crossed the street. The girl ran up to my kids, they tried to walk around her but the girl grabbed my daughters phone & threw it again my daughter tried to walk away for the 2nd time. The girl then punched my daughter in the head, again for the 3rd time my daughter tried to walk away to get the assistant principal, but the girl grabbed my daughters hair & punched her again so my daughter had no choice but to defend herself because the girl wouldn't let go. The assistant principal broke it up & i was called to the office when i arrived my daughter had a lump on her head & they didn't even give her ice. The girl admitted to starting it all. My daughter got suspended & a misconduct but it states in their student code of conduct book that misconduct to defend ones self as provided by the law. I feel he suspension was unjust so now i am trying to get it erased and i am reaching out for help with signatures. a big thank you goes out from my daughter and i to all who sign
The school administration remains silent despite the evidence we provided showing my daughter acted in self defense. It is exhausting to fight a system that refuses to acknowledge its own rules yet we keep pushing forward because the truth is on our side.

Poor girl. Schools just want to wash their hands of it instead of dealing with the real bully. Unbelievable.

This is rediculous. She was just trying to walk away! Schools always punish the wrong kid and it makes me so mad. Hope they fix this record.
