Professor Seiffarth put a lot of effort in getting students to participate in class and especially in class discussions. The best way to learn a language is to actually speak it. And he motivated me to do so.

Makes the language requirement more than studying grammar and word lists. Maybe not conventional, but I've learned a lot about German culture through his teaching.

I think dr. Seiffarth is one of the best teachers at UCR. He has so much energy in class and really tries to involve everyone in practicing German. I really feel he cares about teaching. Whatever happens, I wish him the best. :)

Seiffarth made an insufferable topic/class doable. UCR should stay off his ass and be thankful for a professor that tries to connect with students and thinks outside the box

I really learned a lot in Dr. Seiffarth's German class. The way he made things funny and not serious made it easier to converse. I believe the structure of the class is how language classes should be -- fun and with a lot of discussion, not just pure memorization.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. Dr. Seiffarth motivated me to improve my German language skills both during and after his courses.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Prof. Seiffarth's ACC 280: Intermediate German class. A practice-oriented class with not too much emphasis on the general rigidities of the German language, but rather focused on individual learning possibilities through the assigned reading, class participation, and presentations. Sad to see him leave!

I personally really like the way Seiffarth teaches, I improved my German so much more in the past two semesters than I did in 6 years of high school. I now even sorta dare to speak it to people.

German I: Although some communication could be better, you could really thrive in this class if you engage in the material instead of trying to suck up the information like a sponge, which really is not efficient for learning a language. Ample opportunities are given to put yourself out there even if you are not that great in the language itself.

I really appreciate dr. Seiffarths teaching style, German is one of the best courses I've taken so far. We learn a great deal, because he makes sure we're actively engaged. If possible, please let him stay!
