The board has officially abandoned the proposal for race-based schools. We successfully defended the principle of integrated education for all students. Stay alert to ensure this policy does not return under a different name.

One of the main reasons we as Canadians take pride in our country is the vast amount of multiculturism that surrounds us. Our children go to school with people from all walks of life, enriching their own with the knowledge of other cultures, and teachings, and to grow to accept people for who they are, not the colour of their skin. For the sake of the foundation of our country, for the freedom of our children to attend the public schools our ancestors fought so strongly for, and for the promise of a future without segregation, please sign this petition and tell our Governement, we will not accept this!

The feedback I am receiving highlights deep concerns about the future of our integrated school system. Please take a moment now to email your local school board representative and demand a public discussion on this policy. We need to keep the pressure on our officials until this proposal is officially withdrawn.

The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and proves how many people want our schools to remain unified. Email your local representatives today to demand that they stop these segregation plans immediately.

Ridiculous. We are all Canadian and schools need to reflect that. STOP THE DIVISION.

Our kids need to learn about everyone together. segregating them is just wrong and teaches them to stay in their own bubbles. bad idea.

Total step backwards. Why are we even talking about this in 2017?? Keep the schools integrated.

Segregation is never the answer. My kids learn better when they are around everyone not just one group.

Keep our schools together. Separating kids by race is just going backwards. We should be teaching them to get along not pulling them apart.
