Hello,
The termination of this feature is as you know mind-boggling to so many customers and contributors who grew with the Google community appreciating this distinctive feature. It let viewers know that the business had a professional attachment to their listing and showcased the pride in their business. Now so many customers as well as us photographers are distraught as the removal of this distinctive feature means inferior quality overrides the high quality they may have chosen for their business. "360 view" is simply insufficient as a replacement to let viewers know that there is a quality professional presentation available.
Those of us who have grown with Google and put a lot of effort into spreading the see inside streetview brand to businesses understandably feel defeated, undermined and misled.
But more importantly consumers of the product feel they have lost their ability to utilize the Google listing in a way that distinguishes them as having a professional service completed.

Even if they decide to go with a single image entry point they should let the business owner choose what image(s) will represent their business on Google products and put the UGC below the BOs preferred images.

New clients are very unhappy that they will not get this feature and are already complaining that they cannot find their tour and neither can their customers. Also, that they do not want lots of panos showing, they want a proper tour with a start point they can choose and proper levels. I don't know who is advising you on usability but in my 22 years in web usability and user experience, this decision is wrong in my opinion and many of my clients agree. Please reinstate it or something equivalent to promote the tours right from search and maps.

I agree completely with the comments of veteran pro TIPs Jim Hilker and Luke Woods regarding the value See Inside for small businesses and their customers.

Even if I wasn't a trusted photographer, I value the See Inside feature because it tells me instantly that businesses have a tour and make me significantly more likely to click to view. It is imperative!
Businesses need this!
