the district finally heard us and the bus routes are being reinstated for the new school year. i am honestly so relieved that our streets are going to be safer for the kids now. thanks to everyone who signed because we really did this together.

Bus routes needed in Estonia Subdivision to and from Evers Elementary School!!

Northside ISD side also cut our bus route this coming year in our subdivision. Traffic is extremely bad in the mornings already and since it’s one of 2 ways out of our subdivision their is no other routes. Kids have been hit by cars already this past year. The intersection of Richland Hills and Military is extremely dangerous. VIA buses jump the curb all the time to make the turn from Richland Hills onto Military. Northside ISD did not think this through at all! Sign the petition so we can make try and make a difference!!!

ive been reading through your stories about the traffic at richland hills and military and its honestly terrifying to hear what families are dealing with daily. im putting together all these experiences to send over to the district office because they really need to see how dangerous this is for our kids.

i cant believe how many people have joined this fight in such a short time. the momentum is real and its because so many neighbors care about keeping our kids safe on those roads.

Elementary aged children should not have to walk to school. We pay very high taxes for NISD and it's why we bought a house in Estonia. Abut 5-6 years ago, I witnessed a cross country runner from the local high school get hit at the intersection of Military and a Richland Hills. Do you really want to risk it with a small child? Do the right thing!
As a mother of young children (4yrs, 8yrs, 13yrs old girls) I depended on the bus to get my children to school and back home safely since I work for a early shift at 545am. The bus routes help me feel comfortable knowing that my children were safe while I'm at work every morning.
My children have walked to the store with their dad and always come back saying how someone almost hit them because speeding or just not paying attention. VIA buses don’t even have enough room to turn and jump the walk way ALL THE TIME. There are only 2 ways out and it will create 100 times more traffic with busses taken away.
My daughter will be barely 5 and starting kindergarten there's no way she's walking to school and there's going to be three times as much traffic trying to get into Evers and Jordan because they share the same entrance. This is going to cause so much congestion and potentially make students late and parents late to work.
Intersection is a damn dangerous, my second and 4th grader kids cannot walk by themselves and it will take us 35 mins via walking and my 7 year old daughter has severe skin asthma that aggravates when expose under the sub for too long.
My prayers are that we reach goal since traffic affects all.
Please consider keeping the bus transportation for the Estonia community.

My wife and I have 6 kids 3 of which go to Christan Evers and the bus access is a must seeing that I suffer from multiple medical problems. This new rule of no busses to Estonia has now put my family in a bind.
