Subject: Rape of a 17 year old student of Delhi University in a car with tinted glasses in Moti Nagar area of New Delhi
Dear Mr Commissioner,
This is in reference to the shocking news of the rape of a Delhi university student published in Indian Express on Friday, August 6th, 2010. As per the news item the shameful act was committed in broad daylight in a car which had tinted glasses We feel the incident could have been avoided had the police force been stricter in applying the laws set for tinted glasses in cars.
We are concerned about our security and would like to underline the fact that we do not feel safe with cars having tinted glasses plying on the roads and law-enforcers turning a blind eye towards them.
With this letter we hope Delhi police will immediately start a drive to ensure all cars are free of black films and tinted glasses so that girl students feel safer in this beautiful city of ours which will soon host the Commonwealth games.
All delhi’tes
