We as Kenyans, no matter what background, have the right to protection, education and development. Police brutality, hostility between communities and strife corruption are issues that need to be addressed immediately. This is a complete failing for our aspiring youth whom deserve better. The Govt should is obliged to provide the constitutional rights of security, education and health.Victimising the local community is not a solution. Secure the north.
Article 45 in our Constitution is not a flowery provision. The state should employ all means at its disposal to bring security to the "other" Kenya. The Kenya State is no complete without the North.
Agreed 100%, this 'low priority' nonsense the government likes to give an excuse is completely wrong. Even the NE, despite the lack of development provided, still manages to be a thriving economic hub. It's time the government saw that the North can provide just as much as other regions but it first must lend its support.
I agree 100%. Mistreatment and mass profiling have only worsened the issue. The credibility of the KDF's missions in Somalia are also questionable when innocent civilians are dying due to no protection. No more can injustice stand towards our Kenyan-Somali population.
Security machinery in North eastern should be held accountable, they should explain the forceful disappearance of suspects arrested by plain cloth policemen all over, they should make it public the number arrested and executed by them. stop the arbitrary arrest of innocent individuals in the region

I was born in North, even though I had my childhood in the hood, it hurts to see my people suffer. I haven't abandoned them, not a bit, hopefully my effort will help raise global awareness, unfortunately that's all I can say here.
