Absolutely in support of a second recess. Breaks in the day, play, time to be creative and independent are an essential part of the learning process.

We need to get the children out and about! For some kids it is the only time they ever go out and play :(

Please, please review the need for additional recess. Our children deserve a relaxed, exercised, healthy body as much as they deserve a well educated mind. We need to respect the fact that children will learn better when they have bodies that are allowed to move, to explore to interact with nature, peers, and explore their bodies abilities.

Please give the kids more exercise! They have been the most sedentary in the works since 2007! It's time to make a change!

It really is important for our children to have sufficient recess time in their school day, especially if their day is being extended and more curriculum added.
