Sign to Oppose A High-Speed Rail Bypass Through Southeastern Connecticut

I live near Mystic Connecticut and do not want to disturb the historic town and estuaries. Please do not run a high speed bypass through SECT.

Do not run this train through my backyard! I purchased my home and land based on location. This is a huge change.

I live on Fairview Drive in Pawcatuck. We are strongly opposed to this high-speed rail bypass as it will be right in our backyard and will devalue our home and harm the estuaries.

Why ruin additional landscapes, properties, and wildlife passageways when the existing structures have been adapted to by all those affected?

I strongly oppose the High-speed bypass through SE Ct as currently proposed.

major waste of tax dollars for a forever to build project and to serve a few waterfront rich folks...come on..better ways to spend our money. Train fares are to costly as it is and the service is terrible, leave as is. I95 is in poor shape and needs to be wider.

Tax payers have already paid the price for "improved rail service" over the last two decades. It did not increase ridership between New York and Boston, it did not dramatically shorten the time between New York and Boston, and we did not see the promised benefits for our hard earned tax dollars that were spent.

Putting a new railroad track: - through towns - through backyards - across rivers ... is not a solution. This is not an environmentally sensitive solution, has total disregard for settled towns, and all the time, money and disruption that would go into this thoughtless scheme does not merit making trains go a bit faster along a stretch of track. Abandon the plan to relocate the track through Mystic.

This is a terrible idea to put a high speed am track rail service through a residential area, a golf course and a little league field. What are you guys thinking??? Evidently you are not!

Repairing our existing roads and crumbling bridges would be a much better use of infrastructure funds, would benefit more people and not devastate existing coastal communities.

I still see curves in the proposed route that will limit the speed in our area. They will not reach the promised speeds and destroy our community property and economic vitality in the process. Why can't they take a route more direct through Hartford and northern CT and leave the local rails with a commuter service? For billions of dollars this is not the best way forward.

I don't see the need, and this would be devastating to beautiful, coastal towns.
