Seattle Public School District’s high school student-athletes currently have to leave school at 1pm for ‘away’ events that start at 4pm (at the earliest) because the SPS transportation plan failed to account for increased bus demand when bell times were changed for the 2016-2017 school year. This oversight forces students to miss lunch, 5th and 6th periods, and negatively impacts students, teachers, and administrators.

We, the undersigned, request that SPS implement one of the following solutions:

1) SPS provides alternative bus transportation and pays the difference in price

2) SPS acquires more yellow school buses for our use

3) SPS allows schools to use other vendors for transportation
