Please allow the music. THIS IS HIGH SCHOOL, this is THEIR homecoming, the kids are SUPPOSED TO BE ROCKING OUT AT THEIR GAMES!! Plus this is an excellent example of an engaged student population advocating for themselves. It should be acknowledged and rewarded.

Having music at the game seems like harmless fun. It is my understanding that all the music is preapproved & not inappropriate. Seems unnecessary to ban it.

So disappointing for all the students but especially the senior class this year. They have participated in team spirit for the past three years and the music played a big part in getting the kids pumped up at home games. Now it is their time to lead the maple forest and they are told they can no longer have music in the student section. Also disappointing was the fact that this grade was turned away from having the traditional fun of dressing up for their senior student IDs.

Our community must provide activities in which our teenagers can socialize in an environment that is safe and demonstrates our shared values. The football games on Friday nights are one of the best opportunities we have for this type of activity. If we choose to discourage teenage participation by imposing overly strict rules which dampen their school spirit and take the fun out of the student section, we take away one of the best options for teenagers to have fun in a wholesome inclusive family and community oriented environment. While I can understand the offense taken when inappropriate music is played, we can use these instances to teach social responsibility and behavior standards by asking the students to make wise choices with the music they play rather than shutting the practice down altogether. Let them play music and have fun, let's just work together on teaching and demonstrating what is and what is not appropriate.

Love the the creativity and unity of the Maple Forest. High School is supposed to be fun....Please keep it fun for the students while they support there football team with such school spirit

I am not sure what the intent of the prohibition is, but it would help to see the link between what you are trying to accomplish and the new changes. I did not find what they were doing objectionable, but I am a casual observer. Perhaps we can find other ways to let them still have fun in the tradition of the Maples, while reaching your goals.
