Another great project that would be great for all British and Foreign divers that love to dive Malta and Gozo that is for sure one of the World TOP destination. It would be bring with no doubt a real boost for the diving community here and offer something new.Fat better than finishing in parts. Great opportunity to create new jobs and attract new divers on the Island.

The history of Malta and the HMS Illustrious go far way back! It would be the perfect resting place for this ship!

Firstly a beneficial memorial towards the many lost during the convoys during WWII.
Secondly it would also be of great financial benefit as it would create many jobs and tourism for Malta as it would be the biggest artificial reef in Europe.
If it can't be kept as a floating museum as our last flagship to OUR last sole war, this is also a more respectful end for the ship than scrapping which is a horrible end to a great ship.

What better place for its final resting place? Certainly not being broken up on the beach at Mumbai.

In respect for the Maltese and English mariners and soldiers killed in the Mediterranean, this monument would be in a perfect place to honour them.

Will add association of The British Isles to the Maltese Archipelago. A Long history of friendship and brotherhood indeed.
