EMA is unfair, and money given to students within the thresholds is not spent on things of value, but on things for themselves.
Admittedly, EMA has helped those who have a tough time at home with little money coming into the house. However, whilst some parents earn more money, this does not mean they are better off than those within the thresholds.
Is it really right that some people get money each week for attending school, when others do exactly the same, and get nothing? I think the answer to that is obvious, which is why I would like as many people as possible to sign this petition to scrap EMA.
