Restricting bathroom access can lead to health issues, discomfort, and distraction. Students may develop urinary tract infections, kidney problems, or experience accidents. Denying bathroom breaks can also negatively impact students' focus, well-being, and academic performance, creating a hostile learning environment and violating their basic needs.

Not allowing children to use the toilet when they need to is cruel.

All students should have the right to access the toilet. What about girls on their period? What about autistic students with toileting interoception difficulties? Professionals are paying Pathfinder Trust to teach them how to be more inclusive in their schools yet at the same time Pathfinder spends money installing toilet shutters, making their schools less inclusive. There is research showing that this trend is causing bladder and bowel health issues in children. You have a responsibility for their health and wellbeing whilst they are in your care.

As a health professional and a parent of 4 children who have attended this school I have a very angry response to children being stripped of their basic human rights whilst attending this school. It is dehumanizing, degrading and a massive risk to health physically and mentally to be denied access to a toilet in a 6 hour period. The school should be stopped from this barbaric act of closing toilets to all the children that they report to support 'holistically"

Awful, denying a basic human right. I know sometimes kids might try to mess about and delay coming back to lessons if they go to the toilet, but the current system is not fair. My girls are at primary school, if they were subject to this I would remove them from school.

I think you should get rid of them because it disallows people to go to the toilet

Its concerning that children are being restricted from using the toilet when needed. This policy feels both unfair and potentially harmful—my child now avoids drinking water just to avoid needing the toilet. I would appreciate a greater focus on supporting students’ wellbeing and learning, rather than enforcing rigid toilet rules.

i don’t think the toilet should be in lockdown because of many people have medical problems and it doesn’t come lightly and they need the toilet anytime
