This bus is used for school children, individuals travelling too and from work as well as those that cannot drive and need to do essential trips.

My mum is a resident of Kirkheaton. She is a non driver and relies entirely on the bus service. There used to be a regular bus to Huddersfield and one to Dewsbury which meant she could visit us in mirfield independently and go into either town. It seems to me that services in village locations are being downsized leaving people who rely on the bus service isolated.

A lot of older people rely on that bus and it’s a disgrace to only have one an hour when some routes have 6 an hour!!!!

Kirkheaton needs a reliable bus service and one an hour especially at peak times when college comes out is not enough
