Really good to see the petition paid off and arriva are making the 261 every half hour to Kirkheaton in September. Well done everybody!

My daughter uses this bus to get to and from college. Cutting this service is going to make things really difficult for her and many others.

I am elderly and blind and use the buses all the time. One an hour would restrict my life

This is a very much needed service for our community although it may not be used much at the moment it is obviously because a lot of people are working from home. Why not wait until the pandemic is over and people
Return to work and to the shops before making any decisions

My elderly parents rely on this bus service, buses are already too infrequent through Kirkheaton

I use this bus service to get too and from work and I would struggle if it was reduced to an hourly service. The elderly use this service frequently and the students who to go to the colleges in the town centre.

I feel that this service should be kept going to provide journeys to and from work for those who do not drive and the elderly who have no alternative means for travel.

I want the changes to be scrapped as I use the 262 a lot as I am a full time student at Kirklees College, I’m in college 3 days a week before lockdown started and I need to be in college before 9am Monday to Wednesday so it is very important that this service stays as it is.

The proposed changes to this service are wrong! We have always had at least a half hourly service to Huddersfield.
The buses are well used from Kirkheaton to Huddersfield. This strikes me once again that Kirkheaton residents are losing out on bus services because of issues with other routes - they merged us with the Brighouse bus and now they're trying to merge us with the Cleckheaton bus too!

What a ridiculous idea. 1 bus an hour is not enough. It’s already a terrible service and you are just making it worse. If a bus misses, that’s a 2hour wait to get home or to get to work!!

I work full time and rely on the 262 bus service, it seems Kirkheaton has been totally let down by the bus service and should have a regular half hour service
