We are a captive market with no alternative. This is just plain WRONG. Eastlink should be upgrading their service, not offering us less.

we pay too much already for slow service ... Now you want to cap us & charge more? Stop USING & ABUSING us!!!!!

No usage cap! Didn't our government infuse $$$ to Eastlink for upgrades and equipment? You repay the taxpayer by increasing fees!!!!!

At no point in time does anyone expect to take a step backward with technology they rely on daily. It is even worse when you are expected to take a step backward when you are already severely behind the majority of the country to begin with. Eastlinks service for us rural customers may not have been intended for it's current day uses but that is not the customers fault. Eastlink has the ability and the resources to improve their service to meet the current day needs of their customers yet they choose not to. Can someone please force Eastlink to step up to the plate or to hand over the service to someone who is willing to provide a service based on the needs of today, not the needs of 5+ years ago? As an Eastlink customer I have no other option. There is no other service to choose.

If Eastlink goes through with capping the rural users we have taken a major step backwards. We will not be able to keep up with the rest of Canada or the world. Eastlink you should be upgrading to keep up with the demands of your internet users not capping us.

We pay a lot for only 10% a damn 1 Mbps. This is outrages even before they came up with the limit idea.

Have had eastlink internet for almost 5 years and at first i thought the quality of the internet was great because i had never used high speed but now, i know that what were paying for and what were getting are two different things, they don't even pretend to give quality internet

Stop the cap. It is a backward move and will only chase people away in droves. It will absolutely decimate Eastlink's profit margins. As it stands, the reputation of choosing Eastlink over Bell is dismal. Faced with two subpar choices Bell versus Eastlink, there was no choice for me. I was told that Eastlink would have to put an antenna on my house roof. It reminded me of the rabbit ear antennas on TV's in the 1950's. Further to that, I was told that the antenna would be adversely affected by wind and water. I live in SW Nova Scotia. Wind and water?? As advised I cancelled my service with Eastlink and had to go with the other subpar service provider, Bell. The Ivany Report calls for investment to support economies in this province. I secured an Internet based transcription position and COULD NOT work from home as the Internet service in the area does not meet industry standards!!! We, in SW Nova Scotia are currently in the horse and buggy era in our internet age, literally in the dark ages if you look at any geographic map that shows where high speed internet exists and is color coded. We, in SW NS, literally are in the dark!!! This is outrageous and unacceptable. BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME.

We get charge more for everything in the country. We don't have access to normal cable, internet & telephone service, so have to pay more than anyone else to get it. The internet service they offer is terrible, not much better than the dial up we did have, so why would we have to pay more?
