Are the Loco Pilots of Indian Railways worst than the murderers in India.
If it is so, then this rule should be applied to all Goverment officials, personnels and politicians as well.
If a doctor did operation wrong or with consequence he should be fired so that he can not do further operation.
If a armymen failed to save his countrymen he should be fired.
If a mechanic failed to repair the fauly in workshop he should be fired.
If a politician failed to grow his country he should be fired.
If a officer made a wrong decision ge should be fired.....
We can only imagine about that Loco Pilot who has serve the Indian Railways for more than 30 years without failure day, night, winter, summer, festival, etc. Nobody knows about his untold sacrifice as he never asked about it by any officials as they only want to run the trains by hook or by crook. But all of a sudden one day if he failed to stop his train even by a meagre distance of some metres. He will be imposed with penalty of " Removal From Service" in D&AR case of Signal Passed At Danger.You could imagine his life when after 30 years of sevice railway say him good bye forever with immediate financial loss effect and led his life with a feeling of guilt amongst family friends and society. We are having some examples of victim loco pilots in front of us accross country in which families of some of them are on road right now and some of them living a miserable life. This is absolutely insane done by Railway Board and Government of India. It should be stopped as it is humiliating.
We are fighting under the banner of All India Loco Running Staff Association against this injustice since long. And this petition will help our category of Loco Pilots in Indian Railways to get rid of this bad dream of penalty of Removal in SPAD.

Seeing one hundred people recognize the injustice of ruining a career over a single mistake is overwhelming. My father gave his life to these tracks and seeing his struggle finally validated by others brings me to tears.

SPAD is an occupational hazard concerned to a LP. As there are occupational hazards connected with every kind of jobs in the world which do not attract capital punishment, earmarking capital punishment to LP alone is a grave injustice.
I request to indian rly ,plz stop removel in the spad case,if spad occurs, punishment should be equalent to rly property loss. Result of removel in spad case is so suffering for victim not only but his family and dependent as well is very panic. So plz stop removel.
I want to scrap removal of running staff for signal passing in danger if no accident occurs. Bcause today almost staff working in pressure and tough situation like weather ,loco poor maintainacne, leave not grantetc.
Should change constitutionally this punishment as removal from service, it's not only punsh to that employee it's given to his family member also.So many punishment norms are there under the frame judicially.But REMOVAL FROM SERVICE due to SPAD nothing but a death sentence for a total family members.
It's humiliating "SPAD" word itself is like death warrant, All Our services and good work comes to mere zero for just a few inches of train moves ahead of stop signal, We work at cost of your family life, sleep .We are not machine.

Abolish this rule. Removing from service is not the solution for spad. Classify the spad according to the impact of the accident . If there is a major safety lapses and casualties then only imposed the major penalties..
