Following the recent tragedy at Grenfell Tower, we need to act now. Let's spend our money on the safety and security of our citizens. We could retrofit the estimated 4,000 unprotected tower blocks, across the country, for around £200,000 each. This will therefore total approximately £800,000,000. HS2's (projected cost) £56 bn, amounts to 70 times this amount!

The remaining money (an estimated £55.2 bn!) can be spent on ensuring proper safe cladding, supporting those affected, equipping the Public Services and health and education.
