The dance team was recently caught having a team event where alcohol was present. As punishment, the University of Scranton has decided to cancel their entire season. In all other incidents similar to this, teams have not been punished with such severity, which is extremely unfair to the dance team. This is one of the most hard-working and dedicated teams at the university. Each member of the team loves being a part of it, but more importantly, they love to promote the spirit of the University of Scranton at events both on-campus and around the community. If the University of Scranton upholds this decision it would be a serious loss to countless people within the University community, as well as outside of it. This petition is for those of us who are not physically in Scranton to protest what is happening to this team. By signing it, we are expressing our profound disagreement with the University of Scranton's decision and our highest hopes that they will retract that decision.
