Every year there is a mandatory Christian church service for everyone wishing to participate in scouting in Esher District. I believe this is exclusive and unwelcoming to those who have another faith or no faith at all.
As such, I believe that ceremonies should be non-religious to fall in line with Scouting's core principles of inclusivity, tolerance and community outreach.
If we want to attract people of other faiths, races and lifestyles, we
need to understand that some of them will inevitably not be Christian.
Christianity isn't for everybody, but Scouts should be.
End mandatory Christian ceremonies for young people.

About time. Scouting shouldn't be pushing any specific religion on kids in 2017. Keep it inclusive for everyone or dont do it at all.
