Scottish Green Women's Declaration

I would like to be able to vote green again. I can’t when they are so wrapped up in trans ideology and supporting the condemnation of women who speak out against its effects on women’s protections and promoting dangerous ideas in young children.

I have been a member and supporter of The Scottish Greens since the days of The Ecology Party. With regret, I will be leaving the party because the focus has moved from an holistic environmentalism to an egoistic, bullying anthropocentrism where fair debate is not allowed.

Green parties around the world have led the way in destroying women's rights and children's safeguarding. Let's put a stop to that in Scotland and refocus on the needs of our planet.

I have recently joined the SGP and now thinking about resigning over this issue.

Gender is a social role, to some extent negotiable. But sex is written into every cell in our bodies.

Green politics is about sustainability not disagreements about sex or religion. Keep sex and religion out of politics!

Fully agree with the Declaration. Women's rights must be protected. SGP has lost it's way.

I left the SGP because I believe that it has lost its way. It now seems intolerant and exclusionary, shutting down debate. The focus of the party is no longer on sustainability and the climate crisis that threatens all of us.

I was a member of the SNP for decades and supporter of the Greens for their environmental policies but now each seem to have disrespecting womens identity as their defining agenda

Not before time. I'm really pleased to see the petition. Sex is biology. Anything else is fantasy.

The sex-denialist position of the Scottish Green leadership is anti-science and a huge risk to vast swathes of the population. I'm ashamed to say I was, until recently, a party member.
