Shameful treatment of animals

As a director of The New Arc - The North East Wildlife & Animal Rescue Centre I fully agree that regulation needs to be implemented not only for cat and dog rescues but for all animal rescues.

That is shameful. Change must happen to protect these poor animals.

I am sick of the abuse, neglect, and all the sick freaks who want to cause harm to Lil babies who can not defend themselves

Please close this place down, they obviously don't care about animals

No animal should suffer especially with people who should be taking care of them

Disgusted at the stories in newspapers.the sooner this is stopped the better

We are demanding a radical shake-up of the law to ensure pet sanctuaries are closely monitored and bound by strict standards. Our crusade comes after we exposed sickening conditions at the Ayrshire Ark and highlighted the plight of rescue dog Ozzie — who was shown lying dead there on a filth-strewn floor. So with your help, we want to fix this shameful situation. The Scottish Government has so far only said it will look at the possibility of regulation. Some sources claim a licensing regime could be expensive and complex. But we urge you to sign our petition calling for regulation to be enshrined in law to hold refuge owners accountable!

Animal shelters clearly need to be monitored.

Get this cruelty stopped and jail those responsible.

There should be a law again breeding animals for pets.

It should be law that these places are made safe for these animals, it is shocking the way we treat our animals and for me it is a no brained as to why I am signing this petition! Please, please, please sign so this does not happen again!

This disgraceful situation should be addressed as soon as possible.

SPCA - how come this continued??? Too many of these so called refuges are only in it for the donations - esp in the continent but to hear of it in this country defies belief. Stop them!!!
