Nation of animal lovers ? I don't think so. These people are disgusting and if they can treat animals with such cruelty they should be severely punished then maybe others would think twice.

Awful to hear of terrible neglect and starvation at some 'shelters' and horrific to hear some dogs sent to vivisection labs

The Scottish Government needs to act immediately, I'm ashamed of Scotland for this happening to defensless animals

I am ashamed to say that I was ignorant of the fact that these animal centres/sanctuaries were unlicensed and not inspected or regulated. If you run a pet shop without a licence, or break the terms of your licence, you could be fined up to £500 and/or imprisoned for up to 3 months. So how in the hell are you able to open a pet centre/sanctuary without an appropriate licence !!

This is awful and needs to be stopped at once.

Dogs are part of the family to most human people. Would you let a child die like this.
