I believe in the slogan..."Keep it local". Scott's a great guy and would definitely get my vote to protect our city.

Scott would make an outstanding Police Chief for Hawley. I had the opportunity to work with him. several times while in Child Protection. He is a man of integrity that wants to better his community. He strives to do the best for everyone and is a great leader. He was mentored by an outstanding chief and would continue that great service as a member of the community, and is doubly invested in making this community a wonderful place to live.

I am shocked that "we the people" who ELECTED the current council have had to resort to a petition to express our dissatisfaction in the way we ELECTED you to do so. How could any of us have VOTED for anyone who obviously does not see, or maybe care to see what "we the people" of this city want??

He is from here, lives here, knows the area and knows the people. He is qualified to perform the chief duties now, so why long term? He may not have the longest resume, but he is qualified and competent and Chief Macon recommended him. He deserves a chance to prove himself.

If he's been good enough to be interim chief not once, but twice, he's obviously qualified for this position. He's respected by the community, knows the community, and was reccomended by the former chief of police. Quit with the BS and give him the position.
