Please reconsider Scott steer for chief of police in hawley as he knows everyone in hawley already. He also ..has the knowledge and training already for this position. I don't know why the city of hawley feels they should go outside our town to hire when we already have an officer that lives here and could fill the position. Please let the citizens of hawley vote for our own police chief.

Why would you even think about hiring from outside the department? Those of you that do not listen to your community will be looking on the outside rather from the counsel seat come next election I hope. Who are the counsel working for anyway?

I want a chief who is vested in this community, who already knows what he is doing and who already knows the people. Scott will do a great job and with Chief Macon's endorsement and the community support it shouldn't be that hard to see Scott is the right choice.
