This family shouldn't have to petition to receive this fallen officer's benefits! He was murdered in the line of duty, protecting his community! He gave the ultimate sacrifice! We need to take care of our own!

Families of those who serve should not be penalized by a time in grade requirement for the spouse who is killed in the line of duty protecting our communities.

Sacrifices like Deputy Pine will never be forgotten by our community. I think about his sweet family every time I drive by the park. We all hope, they are taken care after this tragic and senseless lost.

No surviving spouse and children should have to worry about this after their loved one has paid the ultimate price to keep a community and its people safe.
