The policy and promise of the Scottish (and UK) Labour Party is to abolish the "Bedroom Tax" in its entirety if they win the next Westminster election in order to reduce the discrimination and suffering of the poor of this country.
This Petition demands that the ten Scottish Labour MPs mentioned above who failed to attend the crucial vote (on Tuesday 12/11/2013) on the repeal of the "Bedroom Tax" (Under-Occupancy Penalty of the Welfare Reform Act 2012) make a public apology to the people they failed to represent and give a full explanation of their reasons for not attending.
This petition will be emailed to all the MPs concerned to achieve the stated goal of a sincere public apology to the nation.

These serving MPs are being paid by public to represent them in Parliament and by abstaining on voting on an important issue they are in breach of their contract and must be held accountable
The Citizens advice Scotland organisation head Margaret Lynch said last week as their new figures on the effects of the bedroom tax were released, " after six months of the bedroom tax we can now see that two thirds of those who are effected are disabled and that one in ten are caring for a disabled person" . Please end this horricle tax on the disabledand the poor!
A shocking disgrace that Labour MPs could abandon poor and vulnerable people to this wretched policy when they had such a clear chance to kill it off- a disgrace for which they will surely pay dearly .
No excuses,they should all be ashamed of themselves especially Anas Sarwar who showed that all his blustering in the debate with Nicola Sturgeon was just a load of hot air.
bedroom tax is a joke disabled people are being dramatically affected, how can it possible be looked at as a benefit to have a spare bedroom while your in a council house?
Disgraceful supposed MPs. They should all resign because of their incompetence.

Shame on the Timid Ten! The Scottish Socialist Party has been active on this since Day 1. It took Labour six months to decide to oppose the hated Bedroom Tax, and they can't even be bothered to show up to vote against it.
