Impose a tax on guns and ammunition to fund a program to provide safe schools. Consistent funds for every school, separate from the education budget.
Enough lives have lost in senseless tragedies. We must try a different path entirely. Every time a gun goes off in a school, intentionally or not, and whether anyone is injured or not, it’s traumatic for students, teachers, and parents. The fund would provide support services for students suffering PTSD, security and monitoring systems for every school.

My kids deserve to feel safe when they walk through the door. Stop waiting for the next tragedy and just do something already.

its about time we put real money into this. schools are just not secure enough these days.
