We, the students of NHCCS, respectfully urge the administration to provide better quantity and quality of food in our school cafeteria. Many of us have experienced receiving undercooked chicken, with some pieces being pink and raw inside, raising serious concerns about food safety. Additionally, the meals often lack seasoning and flavor, making them unappetizing and difficult to eat. As a result, students are frequently left hungry after lunch, unable to concentrate in class and perform to the best of their abilities. While breakfast is generally acceptable, there is much room for improvement if the cafeteria receives adequate support and resources. Numerous complaints from students, parents, and even staff highlight that the current standard of food is not acceptable or healthy for a learning environment. We often question whether the food served is something the cafeteria staff would be comfortable giving to their own families. For the well-being, health, and academic success of all students, we strongly believe it is essential to improve both the quantity and quality of food served at NHCCS. We urge everyone to sign and support this petition for positive change. At NHCCS, students’ health and well-being should be a top priority, yet the current state of the cafeteria food is a pressing concern shared by many in our school community. Students, parents, and staff have raised repeated complaints about the insufficient quantity and poor quality of meals being served. The most alarming issue is the safety of the food, as multiple students have received chicken that is pink and raw on the inside—a serious health hazard. In addition, the food often lacks seasoning and flavor, making it difficult to enjoy and leaving many students hungry and unable to focus in class. While breakfast is generally acceptable, it could also be improved with better support and resources. We believe every student deserves access to safe, nutritious, and flavorful meals in sufficient quantities, and we urge the administration to take these concerns seriously by investing in better food options for all students. By doing so, NHCCS can ensure every student is cared for and empowered to reach their full potential.
