The school board finally agreed to update the dress code and let us wear shirts with logos again. Seeing everyone walk through the halls being themselves is a win I never thought we would actually reach. We need to keep making sure they stick to this new policy.

Seeing so many students rally behind this issue reminds me of how stifled we have felt by these outdated rules for far too long. This momentum proves that our desire for self-expression is not just a passing phase but a demand for respect.

I have been hearing from so many students who feel like their individuality is being erased by these restrictive rules. I am currently putting together a formal proposal to show the administration exactly how these policies prevent us from expressing who we are.

It would have been nice to know this at the end of the school year because we’ve done all our school clothes shopping and can’t afford to buy more new stuff. What is so bad about shirts with writing or pictures on them as long as they are appropriate
It’s understandable for shirts not have vulgar and demeaning sayings on them, but to ban a shirt that’s has a logo or brand (Nike, adaidas, guy harvey, thrasher, champion, etc.) is just absurd. It’s freedom of speech, it should be expressed not repressed.
Please put an end to this, it is absolutely ridiculous for young adults to not be able to express themselves through their clothing. Don't forget a percentage of the student body are legal adults and don't need to be told how to dress properly.
This whole thing is crazy mann i wanna wear my guy harveys and shirts like that. Whats wrong with pictures of fish on the back of a shirt?? Please explain because in my opinion its just pretty and it effects no one and their learning ability
This is depriving us students to display our individuality which is supposedly being "encouraged" throughout our district. These new rules are going to generate more rebellions than "better learning environments".
i am not getting new clothes unless they paying for it

There are more important things to focus on besides words/pictures on a shirt, like education and safety. I am offended that the school district doesn't think we as parents know what is appropriate for our children to wear.
