Appalled that a school that claims to support its students would deny someone access to a crucial contribution to their mental health. What are they afraid of? Allergies? For God's sake, Bancroft, get it together. You're losing more people to lack of respect for your school than you will to the 5 total kids who might get the sniffles. I was always proud to be a Bancroft student because I thought it was a supportive community, a safe place to learn, and an accepting family. Lately I wonder whether they care more about their students or their (ever-increasing) tuition intake. Good for you, Lyss, keep fighting. No one deserves a fight more than they do right now.

i'm livid that they would do this. they would never have done this to someone with a physical disability and it's completely inexcusable that just because they can't "see" your disability they think it's okay to act like they're humoring you.

I would sign this 999 more times if it meant you could have your dog with you at all times when you needed her.

Your dog should not be in kept in a room all day when she is meant to be your companion. I completely support this petition

As a Human Resource professional, I am intimately acquainted with the ADA and its purpose. A service dog, like any other accommodation, can be managed with proper attention and common sense. Moreover, the good it will do - and the goodwill it will engender - far outweighs any potential inconvenience. I hope Bancroft revisits its position on this important issue.
