This new rule is going to be extremely annoying because it does not allow for you to park based on your needs. If you need to get to an appointment very fast after school and you have a spot in the middle of the parking lot it will take you forever to get out of the parking lot and to your appointment. The unassigned parking worked a lot better because in that situation you could park near an exit for a speedy departure. At the same time if you are hauling in a musical instrument or sports equipment on the daily you will most likely want an interior spot and you would normally park accordingly. However, if we are given assigned spaces some athletes or musicians may be forced to carry their instruments a significant distance in the morning and after school making their life’s harder. Personally I don’t see any issues with the previous parking plan seeing how the lot rarely was completely full as it was.
