Little League has a rich history at SCAA dating back more than 50 years. In an effort to accomodate many SCAA members wanting a more competitive 11-12 year old division this spring, extended pitching and base lengths were added this spring (referred to as 50/70). Unfortunately, this means our 11 and 12 year olds do not qualify for the traditional Little League Tournament. There is still an opportunity to give our kids this chance if we begin a delayed Little League season by June 1, played under Little League rules. There would be 12 games scheduled with 8 games played prior to June 15. Those participating would then be eligible to be chosen to an Allstar team.There is no additional expense. The Baseball Commission has recently voted to not allow this. I would like to show them the awesome support SCAA has for Little League and our kids through the use of this petition. Little League and the tournament experience is magical and I hate to deny our kids this opportunity. Please sign this petition in support of an SCAA 2012 Little League delayed season. If you have an 11 or 12 year old interested in this opportunity, please note this in the comments and we will pass it along to the baseball commissioners. (There will be a significant time commitment June 1-15 to get the season going and then an additional time commitment thru mid July if chosen to the Allstar team.) Time is of the essence! To clarify -  SCAA is participating in the TOC's and there is an all-stars 50/70 tournament, but does not allow the kids to potentially advance to the LL World Series.
