SCAA Board Vote -
Arbitration Panel Audit Requested

To ensure transparency as well as membership trust and respect, the SCAA should immediately create an independent arbitration panel to review voting and campaign practices for the following purposes:

✓ To review the SCAA Board vote concluded in March 2014 was conducted according to current SCAA Bylaws and establish the winner based upon current bylaws.

✓ To Review current and past voting procedures and set future voting requirements such as type of membership and authentication methods for votes (i.e. SCAA Organization Member ID Required on ballot and not used in the counting of this past ballot).

✓ Review 2014 campaign list access as well as establish consistent and fair access methods for future elections that allow all candidates access to the same list at the same time.

✓ Outline appropriate campaign processes including current board and staff members campaigning on behalf of any candidate.

✓ Reviewing the technology used in the voting process as it relates to both security and ability for all SCAA Member votes to be counted (email vs mail vs fax etc)

✓ Establishing voting guidelines to be used when multiple votes are received from the same company - which vote will count?

This independent panel to consist of a combination of past presidents, current board members and members at large with the goal to explore the most recent method of voting, identify inconsistencies that vary from current SCAA Bylaws and establish guidelines for future voting including:

It is time SCAA leadership started addressing member concerns and act in a manner that is respectful transparent.
