If we have found a way to include equestrian studies at a fine arts university, I believe we should find a way to keep one of the most original art forms alive.

If I never had the opportunity to be a part of the boundary hall family, the best times of my college career would be missing. I also never would have gotten the opportunity to be the first class at SCAD Sav to learn foundry, and therefore I would not have met my amazing boyfriend of 5 years. SCAD doesn't care about the fine arts, they're just out to make money and keep pumping out graphic designers. How unfortunate.

My daughter is a student at SCAD and based on what I have see of work that has been completed in this building it needs to stay.

I absolutely loved getting my education at SCAD and I'm proud to be a part of the alumni, but if there is one problem I have to pick it's that the administration consistently grows the school around attracting more perspective students rather then the needs of the current students. I have so many good memories from boundary hall and of the sculpture program I would be really disappointed to see it shut down.

Boundary Hall is one of the most dynamic work spaces in the Savannah campus. 3D forms are a CRUCIAL part of the contemporary fine art scene. To see this building put to some other use would be incredibly disappointing. "Art" is already secondary to "design" at SCAD; if the Fine Arts departments are diminished further, nobody wins.

This is ridiculous. Any administration worth its salt knows that the realm of contemporary art is steeped in sculpture and installation. Eradicating this building and the program it provides, along with cuts made at the Atlanta campus are detrimental to current and future students.

The concept of an esteemed art school without a sculpture department (on the most PROMINENT campus) is ludicrous. I honestly cannot believe this petition needs to be made in the first place.

If anything, Boundary should be EXPANDED. If SCAD admin thinks the world will continue on valuing ONLY computer art I feel they will lose much of the edge that makes Savannah unique to those who decide to pursue a degree here (and paying them so handsomely). Boundary Hall gave me more in the way of creative development and skill than much of the work I did in the hall of my major, (Gulfstream) where the competition for tool use made many of my ideas not worth the time. The frustration of which really killed my enthusiasm and caused my work to suffer. Too bad.

Taking a sculpture elective was the reason I became a 3D animator. Boundary Hall was fundamental to my artistic development and its removal makes me less likely to endorse SCAD or hire more alumni

Boundary is a beautiful and unique building! Sculpture classes complement tons of majors and is one of the few departments that offers fine art electives that can be taken by upperclassmen in an otherwise design-prioritized school
