If SCAD wishes to consolidate buildings that is fine, however sculpture is at the core of most degrees at SCAD! From animation to architecture, sequential to fashion they all need the lessons and inspirations that are taught by sculpture.

I support the continuation of the sculpture minor and its respective facility at SCAD. Sculpture is as foundational as drawing for many in the field of visual arts.

This is one of our base majors. It is a core fine art. There may not be many people in the major, but the ones that are - are incredibly talented. Even people who take the elective classes learn so much.

Thank you all so much for your support and concern for the Sculpture department at SCAD. I made the President's office aware of this petition and I received an email back right away. They are agreeing to meet with me so I can voice my concerns. We can make this happen!

Sculpture is one of the most ancient of fine arts out there! If you know anything about art, just look at the Venus of Willendorf! It stands right along side of painting. Getting rid of this minor is a huge mistake. You keep Equestrian but oh goodness sculpture has to go? That's preposterous.
