Santa Barbara California has crafted an Oversize Vehicle Ordinance that bans parking on any street within Santa Barbara City Limits. Every van available today and prior to today will be impacted by the 82 inches tall height restriction. It is the goal of this petition to insure owners can park their tall roof vehicles in Santa Barbara, at home and in town to shop or patronize restaurants or other establishments without being criminalized. All vans are impacted by this new ordinance, from low roof MB Sprinter and Ford Transit, to Chevy, Dodge Promaster and Nissan NV low and high roof vans. Older Volkswagen pop top Vanagons, as well as many low profile camper tops, also have been found to now be restricted.
