From a mental health perspective, having a casino like this in a college town is a very bad idea.

Please do not allow a casino in our college town. Pennsylvania already has casinos in other cities, and allows on-line gambling, so there are plenty of opportunities for gambling already. Another casino will bring nothing positive to State College.

Please don’t allow a casino here in our town. Gambling attracts so much crime and addiction. We don’t want it here.

Gambling would have a detrimental effect on our area, regardless of the supposed positive economic benefits. Legalized gambling in PA years ago under the guise of eliminating property taxes for PA residents, and we see how well that worked. This will just provide one more opportunity for people to waste their money and create additional social problems. A casino in Centre County is a slippery slope to further moral decline in our area.

A casino is not needed in State College. It’s just one more “addiction”. Enough is enough. Do the right thing. No casino!

Harm comes to many because of casinos, especially to the poor, weak, desperate. Please stop this now!

No casino in our neighborhood. Crime rates and destitution follow in the wake of this "easy money" for the county. Do not pollute our beautiful area!

There are two things we DON'T need in our community. One is a casino, and the second is Penn State Trustees who care more about lining their pockets than they do about Penn State students or they community we live in,

Having a casino will only bring unwelcome elements to a lovely community. It is not worth the money. There are students who will be enticed to do things that will adversely effect their future and gamblers do not need this temptation close to home.

I am against the proposed casino at the Nittany Mall. It will only serve to increase the level of gambling addiction as we have seen with the opening of on-line gaming and the proliferation of TV advertising.
