Say YES to the children!
Mr. Jesse Rosen and the Mandel JCC of Boynton Beach,
Individually and collectively, we have relied on so many community organizations to help us fight through the COVID pandemic. People have been fed, cared for, protected and even saved by the selfless acts of others.
The Dalai Lama once said that “our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.”
Right now, our children are hurting. Being kept at home with minimal socialization, they have longed for the day when friendly faces reappear. Some of those friendly faces have been enrolled in camps run by your fine organization. In other cases, it was determined that Brighthouse Day Camp was the most ideal fit. In the end, options are a a form of diversity.....to fit those with diverse needs.
You have the opportunity to be one of our community heroes, by putting aside any fiscal or personal grudges against another organization. In these unique times, please envision the face of a child and not that of an attorney. We all create our own legacy, and we are counting on the content of your character to shine through.
Your community is watching, and its children need your empathy. How will you respond? Such a decision will dictate our response, as well.
Sincerely,
Your Community.
