The lights are a beautiful addition to Hoylake, it would be sad to lose them when a little effort & a will to find middle ground could keep them.

The council should be supporting such local initiatives which serve to encourage a sense of community. The lights are so attractive and uplifting. The Council so 'Bah Humbug'!

I request that the pink lights remain. They are clearly wanted by the local community who raised the funds to have them.

I will never forgive the council if they force the removal of these wonderful lights. I love Hoylake. I am proud of Hoylake for its lights. We are the envy of all other towns.

Friends from outside Hoylake think they are wonderful and so do I. Makes the place so much more inviting to visit. They cost peanuts to run & give so much pleasure except to mean spirited Wirral Council. The Council should be encouraging such initiatives throughout the borough.

The LED tree lights brighten up Hoylake and attract people to the town./ shops Also they are are sponsored through local donations and should not be withdrawn by Wirral Council without debate.

The trees in The Row have been in serious need of pruning for several years now and despite requests to do so from various groups and individuals this has not happened.
If WBC has unexpectedly been able to secure funding for the maintenance/ pruning of trees on the Wirral I see not reason why this cannot be achieved in Hoylake with the lights in situ giving the nature of the way in which they were installed.
If there was an agreement or promise from WBC stating that the blossom tree lights and the Memorial Stars in the trees outside the library could remain on until the end of this month and remain in situ throughout the year then this is what should happen.

No, no, no, no, no! Don't make them take the lights down-they look beautiful-could do with Moreton investing in something to brighten The Cross up too!

I would imagine that the lights boost buying in local businesses due to enhanced mood and also have in impact on the local area in terms of proudness and there for cleanliness with less litter etc... these should remain on the treees and maybe switches on for BH weekends, special occasions, festivals, to mark the seasons etc.
Do not see the point of taking them down.

Whoever is trying to have them removed obviously doesn’t live in Hoylake votes Labour and is a vegetarian.

In my opinion this council is determined to blight everything that is good about our neighbourhood. The lights are gorgeous and really lift ones spirit.
