The smoke from the Canadian wildfires resulted in us breathing air with particulate matter that is harmful to our health. Cutting down this many trees (for roads, parking, and buildings) not only releases an extraordinary amount of CO2 into the air. The absence of the trees means C02 is no longer being sequestered and held. Burlington needs to begin to make decisions that help mitigate the impact of climate change. Cutting down trees and building roads and new large footprint buildings in undeveloped land is doing the opposite. The Select Board should NOT sign a letter of support for this project.

Please don’t put our seniors up on the hill. It’s a very dangerous spot. Seniors need to be active and many prefer to walk. There is no safe place to park in the location and it is very steep down to winn Street. There are more appropriate places in Burlington for senior housing. Please don’t destroy our conservation land and displace the wildlife living there.

There are too many people, too many cars, why do you want to add more? I feel bad for the people who live on Mountain Road. It’s hard enough getting out on to Winn Street. There is a high traffic volume on Winn Street already. This project will only make it worse.

We JUST finally got the drainage issues addressed on Sunnyside last fall. This was after 10 YEARS of begging the town to repave Sunnyside because it has so many potholes, it's downright dangerous! They have "promised" (AGAIN) that we are scheduled to be repaved this summer, but I'm sure the approval of any new complex will detrimentally affect us with regard to storm water runoff. In addition, I agree with the other points delineated in the body of the petition re the unsuitability of the selected area for use as a senior complex. We struggle we with the roads, ice and sorms here and we are "only" in our 50's.

am not opposed to housing proposed for 35 Mountain Road. I am opposed to accessing Mountain Road project through Richardson Ave. A condominium unit has already been accessed into our neighborhood. If the land is located on Mountain Road I am perplexed as to why access to this projects traffic funnels into our neighborhood. Accessing Winn Street from this neighborhood is already a challenge. My other concern is conservation land surrounding this project and the steps that will be taken to preserve the area.
