Burgundy and Black fits in well to St Martin's Walk and offers its premises to community events. Wetherspoons does not have a connunity ethos and having a pub in this location would ruin what is left of the character of St Martin's Walk.

We already have 6+ pubs in Dorking which have been around for a significant amount of time. Having had a night out in Dorking on a few occasions there is already i feel the right number of pubs to people plus a wine bar. We have to consider the earning potential for current businesses before we let a chain such a Wetherspoons in which let's be honest doesn't come with the best reputation. I would rather have a poundshop.

Please no. Don't sacrifice the library for a cheap pub!

Leave the small local businesses alone. There are plenty of other unused premises on the high street.

This is outrageous - shutting other businesses that are a value to our community is unacceptable. As is placing a pub of this calibre right next to our children's play areas. Shameful.

A weatherspoons would significantly decrease the trade off the well established traditional pubs and put many out of business.

We need more high street shops not a pub that will put others out of business, and bring more drunks into the town

Not a suitable location given housing close by and Dorking is a small business supportive town, not a monopoly for chains

Weatherspoon pubs are just full off drunks who like the cheap drink. This is not for Dorking can they no go to one of the many other empty buildings, pubs or shops.

It's unreasonable to force these small businesses close or move. There must be a far more suitable location within the town where Wetherspoons could be sited.

Wetherspoons haven't lodged a plan the landlord has applied to change the building to include the license to sell food and alcohol and a view to making a large space.
