I am dumbfounded that this is even being considered!

Don't let this go ahead. QCC need to think about the long term, and this facility shouldn't go ahead.

What a joke! I cannot believe this development application is being considered. The proposed site is within such close proximity to established residential dwellings. I can't imagine the stench that would be ever present not to mention the plummeting land values. Furthermore, the proposed location for this site is at one of the main entrances to the Australian Capital Territory. Common sense Queanbeyan City Council - I thought you were supposed to try to do the best for the community of the greater Queanbeyan area. Stop and think about the repercussions rather than just looking at making money.

The entrances to our city should be welcoming and pleasant and not with a rubbish dump at our main entrance.

This development has no place near a residential area! Relocate or use the already existing Hume facilities. Keep Queanbeyan the beautiful city it is and STOP THIS NONSENSE.

have a landscaper down the road and now and then we can smell the compost. Can only imagine the smell from a waste management facility.

The placement of this waste facility is disgraceful! Having such foul smelling and polluting waste close to homes, school and work places is harmful to peoples health and off putting to say the least. To go ahead with this would be one of the biggest lows and disrespectful decisions for our town!

I do not believe such a facility should be located so close to schools, homes and recreational facilities.

I strongly object to such a facility being approved in the middle of Queanbeyan. Why isn't the Hume facility enough? Or is what I have heard, that it is closing down, probably because of Tralee development correct?

We have just a new home in this area and are trying to sell our old home in another area that is close.
Why would this even be considered in an area so close to homes.

I am struggling to understand why the option to have a GARBAGE TIP backing onto a residential area has come into consideration!
How absurd! Find a paddock or land somewhere else AWAY from families and more importantly children to build your "waste management facility".
I am very very close to the proposed development and can assure you that not only is our property value going to decrease, we are going to constantly smell the stench coming from your "facility" and not to mention the increase in rubbish around the streets and rodents.
Forget putting the new acitivity play area in Queanbeyan- people won't drive past the TIP to get to it!
