I had guests from overseas visiting last week, and they're already wondering why they saw so many homeless people in Salem and almost none in other North Shore towns. This plan will drive away tourists and residents alike!

The homeless problem should be shared with many municipalities. So one city or town is not earmarked as the capital of the homeless.

Many of Salem’s problems with vagrancy, drugs and anti-social behavior can be tracked back to Lifebridge. Every morning they turn out their population onto the streets of Salem and make it “Salem’s problem”. This makes life for Salemites hell, does nothing to help people in desperate need of substance abuse recovery services, and doesn’t help people break the cycle and find a way into secure housing and employment. This cannot be turned into an industry here in Salem.

Homelessness cannot be addressed in one city, unless that city wishes to become a magnet for the unhoused.
One only has to look at the migrant and Right to Shelter situation in the state as a whole.

Please No to this project. Within 2 miles we are entertaining not only this project but 250+ units @ Bertini's and
497 at Harrison Ave. Is the new train station going to trolley us around our own neighborhoods. Please rethink this.
