they don't do enough to warrent a pay rise or even to earn what they do! I'd like to see them live on an average persons wage!
11% is an insult to every other public sector work that has received 1% and they may not like to think of it that way BUT they are just public sector workers
absolutely ridiculous. at a time when the people are being hammered continuously with cuts and reductions in benefits, public sector workers are being forced to work longer, pay more and get less!!! do these people have NO shame?!
As a serving firefighter, even the thought of this makes me sick to my stomach. While this government is shattering the lives and futures of public sector workers with wage caps and annihilation of the pension I SIGNED UP TO, this is absolutely disgusting.
Other public sector workers are suffering years of pay freeze, why not them, in it together? I think not. Disgusting

I have had 2% total pay rise since 2008, i find it sickening that our elected employees should award themselves this rise
